Custom domain

Pro forums can serve their public pages at a domain you own, instead of yourname.forumera.com.

Requirements

Custom domains need a Pro plan. If your forum is not on Pro, the custom domain card links to pricing instead of the setup form.

Go to Settings → General → Custom domain.
Enter the domain you want to use, for example forum.yoursite.com. An apex domain like yoursite.com works too, but your DNS provider needs to support CNAME flattening or an ALIAS record for it (a plain CNAME cannot be used on an apex).
Save. Forumera shows you the DNS record to create.

At your DNS provider, create a CNAME record: your domain points to domains.forumera.com.

If your DNS is hosted on Cloudflare, set that record to DNS only (grey cloud), not Proxied. A proxied record blocks certificate issuance.

After you add the DNS record, click Check again. The status field shows one of:

Pending DNS: the record has not been found yet. DNS changes can take up to an hour to propagate.
Pending certificate: the record was found and a certificate is being issued. This usually takes a few minutes.
Active: the domain is live and serving your forum.
Error: something went wrong. The specific message is shown next to the status.

Your forum's public pages, feeds, and sitemap answer at your custom domain.
The old yourname.forumera.com address redirects to your custom domain.
Signing in, replying, and settings still happen at yourname.forumera.com for now. Members are sent there automatically when they need to do any of those.
Old links to your forum keep working.

If you remove the custom domain, the forum switches back to serving from your forumera.com subdomain.

If your Pro subscription is cancelled, the custom domain stops resolving until you subscribe again.
