Is there a native app?

Not yet. The mobile web is a PWA: add to home screen, gets a launcher icon, runs full-screen, push notifications on iOS 16+ and Android. For most use cases this is enough.

What about typing on mobile?

The composer is full-width, the toolbar is touch-friendly, and quoting a reply is one tap. Markdown is supported but never required.

Will my desktop members hate it?

The desktop view adapts up from mobile, not the reverse. Multi-column layouts, sidebars, and keyboard shortcuts are all present.

Not just responsive. Actually designed for touch and small screens.

Fully responsive

Every page adapts to any screen size. No pinching, no zooming, no horizontal scrolling.

Touch-optimized

Tap targets are sized for fingers, not mouse pointers. Buttons, links, and controls are easy to hit.

Fast on mobile networks

Optimized for slower connections. Images are compressed, pages are lightweight, loading is prioritized.

Phones

Thumb-friendly navigation. Key actions within easy reach. No stretching.

Tablets

Takes advantage of the extra screen space while staying touch-first.

Who needs a mobile-first forum

Most forum software was built for desktops and adapted for phones. Forumera is the other way around, which matters more than people expect.

Audiences on phones

Younger demographics, casual communities, anyone whose first device is mobile. If 70% of your traffic is mobile, a desktop-first forum is leaving engagement on the table.

Creators and lifestyle communities

Members open the forum between things. Reading, replying, browsing photos. The phone tap target sizes and thumb reach matter more than feature density.
