On this page
Mighty Networks bundles a community feed, courses, events and payments into one paid product, and its pricing page changes tier names and numbers more often than most competitors. Here is what the official pricing page showed as of September 2026, plan by plan, plus where a plain forum is a cheaper or free fit for the discussion side of what Mighty Networks does.
The plans
Mighty Networks runs four tiers, all billed per community, not per seat.
- Launch: $79/month, or $950/year (billed annually, described on the page as "2 months free when you buy annually").
- Scale: $179/month. The page did not show a separate annual price at the time of this fetch.
- Growth: $354/month. Same note: no separate annual figure was shown.
- Mighty Pro: custom pricing, sold on a call rather than listed on the page.
There is no free plan. Every free trial runs on the Growth plan: 14 days, no credit card required, according to the pricing page. That means you get to test the top consumer-facing tier's features during the trial, then choose which paid tier to land on afterward.
Because Scale and Growth's annual prices were not spelled out on the page when we checked, do not assume a flat "2 months free" discount applies evenly across tiers. Confirm the current numbers on the Mighty Networks pricing page before you commit, since community software vendors update these figures without much notice.
What each tier adds
- Launch covers the basics: an AI cohost feature, the core community space, courses, and basic automations. This is the entry point for a single creator running one community.
- Scale adds more automation depth, multi-feature spaces (running more than one space or content type inside the same network), and API and integration access. This is aimed at people who need to connect Mighty Networks to other tools rather than run everything manually.
- Growth adds advanced automations, the ability to run simultaneous promotions, growth expert sessions, priority support, and migration services to help you move an existing audience in. This is also the tier every trial defaults to, so it is built to be the most feature-complete non-custom option.
- Mighty Pro is the branded-app tier: your own custom-branded iOS and Android apps, full community services (more done-for-you setup and management), advanced data reporting, and custom storage and usage limits instead of the fixed caps on the other tiers.
Storage and account limits scale with the tier too. Launch starts around 200 GB of storage; Mighty Pro goes up to 4 TB. The number of hosts and moderators you can add, and the monthly live-streaming hours included, both increase as you move up from Launch through Growth. Check the current page for exact per-tier numbers, since these are the kind of limits vendors adjust between pricing updates.
Transaction fees and payment handling
Mighty Networks takes a cut of payments processed through your community (course sales, paid memberships, event tickets) on top of the monthly subscription. As of the September 2026 pricing page:
| Plan | Transaction fee |
|---|---|
| Launch | 2% |
| Scale | 1% |
| Growth | 0.5% |
| Mighty Pro | 0.5% |
That fee is separate from whatever your payment processor (typically Stripe) charges on top. If you plan to sell anything through the platform, model both the subscription cost and the transaction fee together, since a lower monthly price on Launch comes with the highest cut of your revenue.
Annual vs monthly
Launch is the one tier where Mighty Networks shows both numbers clearly: $79/month or $950/year, which works out to roughly $79.17/month, so "2 months free" is a fair description of the discount on that tier. For Scale and Growth, the page did not display a matching annual number at the time of writing, so you should ask sales or check the page directly for the current annual rate before assuming the same ratio holds. Mighty Pro is quoted individually, so there is no public monthly-vs-annual comparison to make there at all.
If you are not sure which tier you will settle on, monthly billing on Launch or Scale is the lower-risk way to test the platform properly (beyond the 14-day Growth trial) before locking into a year of a higher tier.
Who it fits
Mighty Networks fits a creator or small team running a paid community that genuinely needs courses, events and built-in payments in one product, and who wants a branded mobile app without building one from scratch. The automations and multi-feature spaces on Scale and Growth suit people running more than one offer (a course plus a membership community, for example) who want it inside a single tool.
It is a heavier and more expensive choice if what you actually need is a place for members to talk and search old answers. Course players, event ticketing, and app branding all cost money whether or not you use them, and the transaction fee applies to any payments you route through the platform regardless of tier. If discussion is the core of what you are building and courses or payments are secondary or absent, it is worth pricing out a plain forum instead.
There is also a practical migration question worth asking before you sign up: how much of your content needs to survive and be found later. Mighty Networks spaces are built around feeds and streams, which are good for live engagement but not always built to be indexed and found through search the way a forum's threads and boards are. If a big part of the value you want is members finding answers months later through Google, weigh that against the course-and-payments features you would be paying for.
Cheaper and free alternatives
If the reason you were looking at Mighty Networks is the discussion and community side, not the course player or built-in payments, a hosted forum covers that job for a lot less. Forumera has a genuine free plan: unlimited members, threads and posts, moderation tools, 6 UI languages, 10 themes, and no ads, with free forums auto-archiving after 90 days of inactivity. Pro is $19/month flat, no per-member or transaction fees, and adds a custom domain, removes the "Powered by Forumera" footer, stops auto-archiving, and includes 100 AI credits a month plus priority email support.
To be direct about the difference: Forumera does not do courses, events, or built-in payments, and there is no mobile app builder or plugin marketplace. It is a forum: categories and boards, threads, replies, reactions, polls, tags, search, roles, private invite-only forums, and Discord integration, with pages that are server-rendered and indexable by Google. If you need the course-and-payments bundle, Forumera is the wrong tool. If you need a searchable, permanent home for discussion and you were going to bolt courses or payments on separately anyway (or don't need them), it is a much cheaper starting point. See the full Forumera vs. Mighty Networks comparison for a closer look.
Two other paid community suites worth comparing before you decide: Skool, which has historically kept pricing simple with a single flat plan and bundles community plus courses, and Circle, which tiers its plans by features and member count and sits closer to Mighty Networks in scope. All three (Mighty Networks, Skool, Circle) are paid, all-in-one community suites, so the real choice is usually about which feature set and pricing shape fits, not whether one is free.
